Nadia + David

Royal Exchange Wedding

using a walk in edinburgh for relaxed wedding photos

I had my first chat with David and Nadia while I was sitting in Edinburgh and they were in their apartment in Toronto.  They were planning a London wedding (David is English) and wanted to book me as their wedding photographer.

They wanted a traditional London wedding as David’s parents were married in the same East End church, and many of Nadia’s relatives hadn’t visited the city before.  Her hotel room had the perfect view of Big Ben and I’m sure really gave all her family an amazingly fantastic London experience.  After the lovely ceremony at St. Dunstan and All Saints Church in Stepney, we headed back into the city for a reception at the decadent Royal Exchange by Bank station.  We managed to stop for some portraits by the Thames South Bank where the sheer joy of their faces made me realise how much I enjoy being a happiness-catcher as a wedding photographer!

Charlotte + Paul

Rustic Farmyard Wedding

farmyard wedding photography

Charlotte and Paul wanted a relaxed countryside wedding at a local farm that had a fantastic venue attached to it.  I always love arriving somewhere and seeing wide open vistas prime for wedding portrait shooting!

One of the best moment during the morning was when Charlotte’s mum was helping her daughter get ready, they hugged for just a second and I was so happy I managed to capture it for them as it really does show the love between them on such a special day.  It was also great having free roam of the farm for photos, and the vintage car they hired to take them back from the church was also pretty special.  The quirky table name photos and wedding cake decoration added to the joyful feel of the day so perfectly.

Wendy + Garrison

Cambridge Engagement Shoot

edinburgh wedding photographer

Wendy and Garrison are a super stylish couple who met while studying at the same college at Cambridge.  I’ve never studied at Cambridge (!) but have done enough shoots around there to know just how romantic the colleges can be!

We met early on a Sunday morning when there weren’t too many people around and were able to shoot in the lovely Cambridge parks and in their old college – they lived above and below each other when they studied there!  It was such an enjoyable shoot with two very lovely people !  Their wedding later in the year was equally great with an amazing day after shoot as well.
