Charlotte and Paul wanted a relaxed countryside wedding at a local farm that had a fantastic venue attached to it. I always love arriving somewhere and seeing wide open vistas prime for wedding portrait shooting!
One of the best moment during the morning was when Charlotte’s mum was helping her daughter get ready, they hugged for just a second and I was so happy I managed to capture it for them as it really does show the love between them on such a special day. It was also great having free roam of the farm for photos, and the vintage car they hired to take them back from the church was also pretty special. The quirky table name photos and wedding cake decoration added to the joyful feel of the day so perfectly.
I seem to have an awful lot of weddings from architect firms, and I’m rather pleased as I always get on very well with folk from this profession! Sally got in touch after seeing her colleagues wedding photos, and I’m delighted she and Greg booked me for their own wedding too! We went for a lovely walk by the canal on a summery evening and really got a feel for the natural wedding photography style they like so much. One of the benefits of an engagement shoot before the wedding is that it helps me work out what kind of direction is going to work best for you, and you end up feeling so much less nervous on the wedding day itself. Needless to say Sally and Greg’s wedding was a chilled out affair too. I’ve just finished designing their album and will be sharing the wedding very soon too!
When Will and Bon first got in touch and told me about their wedding it sounded so ideal – an intimate affair in a countryside chateau in the middle of summer. I always love couples with a relaxed vibe, and when I met them for the first time I so hoped they would choose me to shoot their wedding.
They did indeed, and so we started thinking about their engagement shoot. To go with their chilled out personalities we opted for a shoot in the surprisingly beautiful Hertfordshire countryside. A park was out of the question as sadly Bon has a phobia of grass, however, in the farmland she coped amazingly well – what a trooper! Their wedding later in the year was a real highlight and I can’t wait to share it with you soon.
