Teddington Lock Engagement Shoot – Claire & Rob

London has an abudance of locations for an engagement shoot, but sometimes the right spot might be right on your doorstep – Teddington Lock, for example, is very near where I used to live in West London, but I had never shot there.

Imagine London, and a bustling, crowded metropolis often springs to mind.  However, just go a little bit out of the centre and there are some fantastic green spaces that could almost be a deserted wilderness – a perfect space for beautiful, fun, and relaxed engagement photography. It’s quite an important point to think about when choosing where to have your engagement shoot – a space that is likely to be quiet is often the best option.

Claire and Rob were incredibly natural in front of the camera, and come across so well I almost thought they must have done it all before! Lots of smiles, but they can pull serious off too very well!  If you’re looking for a London Engagement Shoot I’d love to hear from you!

Penshurst Place Wedding – Tish & Ryan

What a grand venue Penshurst Place is for a wedding – the medieval banquetting hall, and beautiful grounds provide amazing backdrops for wedding photography.  It was my second visit to Penshurst Place, this time for Tish & Ryan’s fun summer wedding.

A couple of years ago I shot Divya and Darren’s wedding and I was delighted to see them again, as Tish and Divya are cousins.  It really is the biggest compliment when I shoot weddings for a different family members, as I get to see familiar faces and catch up with what’s been happening.  Darren and Divya now have a very cute addition to their family :)

I really loved all the bridal preparations at this wedding – everybody had a job to do – and Divya also had a Singaporean blessing before she left for Penshurst which turned out to be quite emotional and touching to watch.  The rest of the day was just as beautiful, and I enjoyed their relaxed portrait shoot very much as well.  Enjoy looking at the images!

BEST 10 – One Marylebone – Katy & Jack

A Christmas wedding at One Marylebone, London, with Katy and Jack, is the second in my series of posts where I look at previous weddings and pick out my top ten images from the set.  One Marylebone is a tremendous place to get married in Central London, and provides a very opulent backdrop for any wedding day.  Especially amazing was the lighting design in the reception room – it’s hard to imagine anything more spectacular.  Not quite as spectacular as Katy’s Vera Wang wedding dress though!

For winter weddings I have my trusty flash and video lights, so we can still make some great wedding portraits for you!  If you are having a Christmas wedding please get in touch to see if I am available!

Hampstead Heath Engagement Shoot – Charlotte & Simon

I love a Hampstead Heath Engagement Shoot as it gives you the opportunity to explore some of the more urban areas around the heath, as well as the natural environment of the Heath itself – and with the blossomy buds covering the trees, it’s a really beautiful spot to explore for a London engagement shoot.

Charlotte and Simon had already seen me in action at two of their friends weddings and I was very pleased to see they shared the same sense of fun their friends do.  I’m very lucky that lots of my former couples like to recommend me to their friends :)

When you want fun and relaxed wedding photography check out the eyes and the smiles of the people in the photographs – hopefully they will be real – just like Charlotte and Simons :)

High Bullen Wedding – Rachel & Alex

High Bullen is a great little boutique hotel nestled in the North Devon countryside, and a great venue for a relaxed and fun wedding.  Alex and Rachel had a wonderful day, where the sun shone brightly and everybody had a wonderful time together.  I haven’t done any scientific research, but I’d wager a rather large sum of money that the ratio of smiles to photographs taken at this wedding is one of my highest yet.  Whenever I looked at this amazingly happy couple they were smiling or laughing – exactly how people should be on their wedding day!

If you purchase one of my album collections then all travel in the UK mainland is included – so if you are having a wedding in Aberdeen, or down in Cornwall – and love fun wedding photography, please send me an email and see if I am available!
