Charlotte and Paul wanted a relaxed countryside wedding at a local farm that had a fantastic venue attached to it. I always love arriving somewhere and seeing wide open vistas prime for wedding portrait shooting!
One of the best moment during the morning was when Charlotte’s mum was helping her daughter get ready, they hugged for just a second and I was so happy I managed to capture it for them as it really does show the love between them on such a special day. It was also great having free roam of the farm for photos, and the vintage car they hired to take them back from the church was also pretty special. The quirky table name photos and wedding cake decoration added to the joyful feel of the day so perfectly.
I seem to have an awful lot of weddings from architect firms, and I’m rather pleased as I always get on very well with folk from this profession! Sally got in touch after seeing her colleagues wedding photos, and I’m delighted she and Greg booked me for their own wedding too! We went for a lovely walk by the canal on a summery evening and really got a feel for the natural wedding photography style they like so much. One of the benefits of an engagement shoot before the wedding is that it helps me work out what kind of direction is going to work best for you, and you end up feeling so much less nervous on the wedding day itself. Needless to say Sally and Greg’s wedding was a chilled out affair too. I’ve just finished designing their album and will be sharing the wedding very soon too!
Alice and Luke got in touch to ask me to shoot their wedding at Islington Town Hall with their reception in the Town Hall Hotel in Bethnal Green. I always love a city wedding and Islington Town Hall really is one of the best I regularly shoot in.
I knew from their engagement shoot that Alice and Luke were my favourite kind of clients – relaxed, friendly and just a little bit crazy! Getting ready was fun and, as soon as I opened the door to Alice’s twin sister (whose wedding I’m shooting later this year) I knew it was going to be a wedding to remember for all the right reasons. Alice was up for taking some portraits down a fire escape, and they rocked their portrait shoots as we wandered around blocks of flats to find the greatest urban backdrops. I can’t wait to see your families again later in the year!
